Miraplacid Data Analyzer

MS Windows 32-bit GUI Application.

General Information.


The reason of creating Miraplacid Data Analyzer was to help developers who works in compression and other data mining fields to manage, test and analyze a data. The short name for this tool is DatAn.
This software allows you to load binary or CSV file, analyze it, view the results and save them to CSV file.
DatAn consists of GUI shell (.exe file) and plug-ins (.dll files). Plug-ins performs the data analysis. Shell does the rest (file load and save, visualization, plug-ins configuring).

How to use DatAn.


To open Binary file click
Menu => File => Open
or click Yellow "Open" button on a toolbar.

To open CSV file click
Menu => File => Open CSV
or click Blue "Open" button on a toolbar.

To run Analyse click
Menu => Action => Analyse
or click Blue "Run Analyse" button on a toolbar.

To save the results
Menu => File => Save
or click "Save" button on a toolbar.

Visual appearance.


The program's workspace consists of 3 windows:
Top left is a plug-ins list.
Double-click plug-in you wish to use to select it.

Bottom left is a plug-in parameters list.
Every plug-in has different parameters.
The application re-draws this frame when you select another plug-in.

Right window is for analysis result.
You need to select input file, select plug-in and click Analyze button before any data appear in this window.
You can save the content of this window to CSV file.

FAQ.


Q1: How to create, edit or view CSV file?

A1: It's a text file, so you can use any text editor, for example, Windows Notepad.
However, it's much more convenient to process CSV files with Microsoft Excel.

Q2: How could I use the DatAn?

A2: We've written the DatAn for data compression research work.
May be you'll find a better purpose for it.

Q3: I need additional plug-in!

A3: The simplest way to do it is to write us and describe what you need.
Probably, we'll write it for you for free.
Well, if you need to write something sophisticated, like irregular ineural net... Contact us and we'll discuss it.
In the worse case we just give you a SDK and help you to write plug-ins by yourself.
