Miraplacid Form Designer will help you to create form layout. You can load scanned form image, fill out the form and print it with Miraplacid Form Viewer

To create a new form follow these steps:

• Push button "New"
• Assign a name for new form layout.
• Select scanned form image. It will appear in the right panel.
• Push button "Field"
• Drag mouse in the right panel to create a new field You can move and size fields with mouse.
• Repeat previous step to create all the fields you need.
• Push "Save and Run" button It will open Miraplacid Form Viewer with the form you just created.
• Fill out form fields as needed
• Push "Print Preview" button Print Preview dialog will open
• Adjust Print Margins
• Push "Print" button to print the form

Miraplacid Form Designer toolbar buttons:

Create a new form layout
Open saved form layout
Save curreent form layout (you can save the layout under new name with "Save as" function, File menu)
Zoom form in the right panel. This zoom does not affect zoom or scaling in Print Preview dialog
Open Print Preview dialog
Save current layout and open it in Miraplacid Form Viewer
Select, move and size fields and labels in the right panel
Add an editable field to the right panel
Add a label to the right panel

Miraplacid Form Designer Tips and Tricks:

• Label is a perfect fit for a text you are not going to change any soon like your company name and address
• Alternatively, can set default text for fields in the property sheet in the left panel. If you filled out all the fields, you can print the form directly from designer without opening Miraplacid Form Viewer
• When "Pointer" is selected, click outside the fields and labels to select the layout itself. Layout properties will appear in the Property Sheet on the left panel.
• You can change default font in the Layout properties. Miraplacid Designer assigns the default font to all the new fields and labels you create.
• PrintMargins in the Layout Properties are in 1/100 inch units, so 100 means 1 inch
• You can change paper size and orientation in Page Setup, File menu
• Adobe PDF format supports fields. If your form is in PDF format - in Adobe Acrobat Reader try to click the text area you need to fill. If textbox appear and you can type there - you are done. Unfortunately, very few form publishers use this feature.
• If your form is in uneditable PDF or in other read-only format - use Miraplacid Publisher to create a background image for the Miraplacid Form from the form document
• If you have a form in a read-only document and document viewer does not support printing - use Miraplacid Screen Capture to create a background image for the Miraplacid Form from the form document

Miraplacid Form Designer for managers:

Prepare a form in Miraplacid Form Designer and click "Export Runnable Layout" from Run menu. Save the results to a folder. Copy the folder to your employee desktops. Now they can fill and print the form.

You will find in Miraplacid Form Designer Professional Edition:

• Multi-select. You can select multiple Fields and Labels to move, size and align them together.
• Change font of all selected Fields and Labels.
• Form Rotation. You can rotate the form left and right.
