Miraplacid Scripting Components version 1.2 released

Miraplacid Scripting Components is a family of COM components for Windows and Linux that have been designed to overcome the lack of functionality in ASP. While Windows Components market is overstocked, there are no components for Linux beside the Miraplacid toolkit. Currently Miraplacid provides 6 components - Upload, GZip, Exec, Crypto, ABImage and Blob. Miraplacid Upload is as good as the best Upload components for Windows. It supports multiple files upload and provides easy access to the form fields. Miraplacid GZip component provides easy-to-use file and database compression and decompression. Actually, you don't have too many options if you need to compress data in Linux from ASP code. With Miraplacid Exec component you can runs OS commands or launch applications. Let's say, you can run sendmail. It includes all the necessary functionality to handle the results you get from the call. Miraplacid Blob is rather auxiliary components, but it could be useful if you need to handle binary data or convert them to Base64 or Hex format. There is a big difference between Windows and Linux ASP debugging capability. That is why Miraplacid has implemented Linux and Windows exactly identical. You can debug your code in Windows, let's say with Microsoft InterDev, and then just copy it to your Linux server. New MSCABImage Component is the best cure from nasty posting bots (robots). These bots create hundreds email accounts on your web-based mail servers and spam from them, fill your forums with thousands of commercial postings and screw your online polls
