Miraplacid Text Driver 2007 - When nothing else works, extract and import text.

There are way too many document file formats in the World. Good software can import and export few dozen of them, but there are way more. The other problem is - some formats are proprietary, so software vendors cannot access them even if they wish. Here is a workaround some smart companies found. They export document to plain text and import it. If software does not even export to plain text, they print it to a virtual printer with text extraction functionality. In industries with standard forms like tax preparation and mortgage, virtual printing and text extraction solves integration problems very efficiently.
 
Miraplacid Text Driver can extract plain text or text with layout as well as XML with text location and size. After installation on PC, Miraplacid Text Driver appears as a new printer in the system. All the documents printed to this "printer" will be previewed and processed by the Miraplacid Text Driver, then saved it to a hard drive, upload to a server, print, or emailed.
 
When "Auto Save Mode" is turned on, Miraplacid Text Driver saves extracted text to a file without any user interaction. Each document or even document page can be saved to individual file or folder using tricky wildcards. These wild cards will be replaced with current date, time, some unique number, page number or print job id.
 
Converting document to formatted text is not as simple as it seems. Graphic letters can have different width, which does not apply to text file where one symbol is one letter. Add here different font families, sizes and styles. Miraplacid Text Driver have improved text formatting algorithms and is optimized to work faster than previous versions.
